Who we are

Our family values and life experiences, as a registered nurse and a Navy veteran who has been a long-time medical advocate, bring us to you in your home for Moxie Kare. Add the fresh enthusiasm of our young adult children and teens pursuing healthcare careers, and you have a warm, capable team ready to serve you and your family.

We will help you actively seek solutions, provide easy-to-understand education, and bridge the gap between your provider’s care and your goals to implement positive lifestyle changes. You no longer need to accept health issues that burden your quality of life.

We empower you to believe in your ability to improve your health, trust your instincts, and make informed choices regarding your well-being. This is part of how we help you meet your goals.

Moxie Kare will help you bounce back from setbacks, learning from challenges, and stay committed to your life’s goals.

Ultimately, it involves actively embracing your unique journey with resilience, purposeful action, and an optimistic outlook, with help navigating health and home challenges to cultivate a life of greater well-being and fulfillment.

Together, we show up like family: respectful, reliable, and ready to help.

Meet the Team

Nursing expertise, veteran strength, and a passion for family advocacy—make Moxie Kare a team you can trust at home.

  • Moxie initiated Moxie Kare to carry forward a core value from her traditional Paiute upbringing in Northern Nevada: elders and those in need, deserve honor, presence, and practical help that preserves dignity. With more than a decade in nursing and over two decades in healthcare, she combines clinical skill with cultural humility—listening first, coordinating with providers, and shaping each visit around what matters most to your family. The result is care that feels like family and works like a plan.

  • From Pacific Northwest misty evergreens to Arizona desert sunshine, Kevin traded rain boots for sunscreen—and brings 14 years and 10 deployments of Navy discipline, rock-solid calm, and a wicked sense of humor. He’s the guy who spots what’s missing, offers peer support, and yes—he’s tall and steady on a ladder (only for non-structural tasks!). Paired with Moxie, they’re a powerhouse duo.

Standing With Our Community

Our family loves giving back to the community we call home. We volunteer with various organizations throughout the year, and our kiddo serves on the Phoenix Indian Center FINAL Youth Council for health promotion and substance use prevention.

Each year we help sponsor Indigenous children (ages 0-20) living in a group home near the Navajo Nation during the holidays. If you’d like to join us in sponsoring a child this holiday season, let us know and we’ll share the details!
